Vantage Capital Markets HK$480K donation to children with diabetes

YDA is immensely grateful to Vantage Capital Markets for their generous donation of over HK$480K. This donation has a tremendous impact on the lives of children with diabetes in HK and their families.

We truly appreciate VCM’s commitment to children with diabetes. The daily struggles of living with diabetes are often overlooked. The daily injections, finger-prick tests, and a carefully managed diet, in addition to the costs of diabetes-related supplies can feel all too overwhelming.

This donation will enable YDA to continue our vital work in providing care support, raising awareness, and building a strong diabetes community, so no child is alone in living with this life-long condition, in particular, we will:

• Develop our existing activities by creating more opportunities for children with diabetes to get together and share their experiences
• Advocate for the rights of children with diabetes and their families
• Fund studies that improve the care of patients with diabetes
• Increase awareness-raising activities about the seriousness of diabetes.

We will also continue to financially support those families who cannot afford to purchase medical supplies for their children with diabetes, as well as providing access to the latest diabetes technologies through our support programmes to enable better diabetes management.
